“Financial planning is about much more than managing money. It’s about helping clients use their financial resources to live the life they desire.”
JP’s Role at Marshall Financial
JP brings 15 years of experience counseling clients on tax, wealth, and estate planning matters to his role as a Marshall Financial Wealth Advisor. He honed his skills as a Tax Advisor and Wealth Planner at Glenmede Trust, where he took a holistic approach to providing financial guidance to clients at every stage of life. Through his experience in the tax sector at Glenmede and Deloitte, he also gained a keen understanding of the tax issues that can impact a client’s investments and overall financial picture.
Working alongside our senior advisors, JP digs deep to understand what’s important to a client and recommend the best ways to achieve their life goals. “What I enjoy most about financial planning is the opportunity to work with people and provide them with real-world, practical advice,” he says. “I was never satisfied just crunching numbers.”
Get to Know JP
Clients value JP for his ability to bring simplicity to even the most complex financial matters. “One philosophy that has always guided my work is a desire to simplify my clients’ financial lives,” he says. “We’re all trying to live a happy life, no matter how we define it. I focus on helping people do that by showing them what their money can allow them to achieve.”
JP is also a big believer in connecting clients with specialists who round out his own expertise. “I’m like a primary care doctor: I look at the big picture, diagnose the issue, and connect my clients with other experts like attorneys and accountants who can do a deeper dive into a specific need.”
Like many people, JP used the downtime during the pandemic to start a new hobby: learning to play guitar. “If there is a musical bone in my body, I’m determined to find it!” he jokes. He takes a weekly lesson alongside his daughter who is learning the ukulele. JP also finds time to coach youth baseball and basketball and was a mentor with Philadelphia Futures, a non-profit supporting low-income students who are the first generation in their family to attend college.
