Best Places to Work in PA identifies, recognizes, and honors the best places of employment in Pennsylvania in three categories: small employers (15-99 employees), medium employers (100- 249), and large employers (250 or more). To be considered, companies must be a publicly or privately held business; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; have a facility in the state of Pennsylvania; have at least 15 full- or part-time employees working in Pennsylvania; and be in business a minimum of one year.

The rankings were determined through a two-part evaluation process. The first part assessed workplace policies, practices, and demographics, contributing to 25% of the evaluation. The second part involved an employee survey, accounting for 75% of the total, measuring the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies, with the final rankings unveiled at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square on December 7, 2023 during the awards ceremony.
