Sean Dann, CFA

Director of Investment Research

The principles that guide my work are having a good moral compass and strong ethics behind everything I do. That is definitely a top priority.”

Sean’s Role at Marshall Financial

Sean, a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame, is already a familiar face at Marshall. He served as a college intern for two summers, and upon graduation in 2021 accepted a full-time position as a Research Analyst at the firm.

During his summers at Marshall, Sean has shown initiative and proven his commitment and dedication through hard work and perseverance. He has a high standard of what it means to be a person of character. Taking a cue from his lifelong pursuit of athletics, Sean is a true team player.

Sean has been investing his own money since he was a teenager. He’s always been fascinated by the stock market, which feels to him like a puzzle to be solved. His natural affinity for quantitative research helps him gain that all important edge in the market. What drives him is discovering data that no one else has found.

Get to Know Sean

In addition to a career in finance, Sean is a sports enthusiast. He enjoys basketball as both a player and a referee. He learned that being a ref isn’t as easy as it looks. By making countless judgment calls, Sean gained confidence in his decision-making skills. While people may have disagreed with him, Sean was able to hone his skills in explaining a controversial call to both sides.

Sean graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Data Science from the Mendoza College of Business. He attended Central Bucks East High School where, in his spare time, Sean worked with Athletes Helping Athletes, a volunteer organization that connects special needs athletes with mainstream students.
