This quarter we’re spotlighting Allison Masoero, CFP®, a Wealth Advisor at Marshall Financial. She has been with us for almost five years and loves building relationships with her clients. Take it away Allison!
Describe what you do at Marshall in your own words:
I am a Wealth Advisor at the firm and have been with Marshall since I graduated college. My main role is working on a team to support our clients. I help create, implement and monitor financial plans, attend to our clients’ needs and questions, and support the firm in any way possible. I continue to be up to date on current industry topics and changes as well as current market conditions. Inside the firm, I provide input and offer support as we look to continuously improve our planning process.
What do you like most about working for Marshall?
The culture. When I graduated college, I wanted to work for an RIA with similar values to my own and I found that with Marshall. I love our planning process, how we put clients at the center of all we do, and our team approach. The people I work with are truly special. I enjoy being part of a community where my opinions are valued and appreciated.
Are there any newer responsibilities you’ve taken on that you’re excited about?
I have recently started to develop and take on more clients in our already established Wealth Coach program. This is a service we offer to younger clients who are just starting to build their financial lives. As an advisor, we like to build and grow with our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work with my clients every step of the way.
What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
As cliché as it sounds, my coworkers and clients. Marshall continues to look toward the future and I am extremely excited to be a part of that. It is important that I continue to work hard with my team to prepare for the future and develop my skills as an advisor. We want the best experience for our clients while continuing to be a pillar in the community.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I have a passion for psychology and mental health and do a lot of reading on subject. Every person is unique it’s interesting to learn what shapes who we are and the impact of our environments. I encourage others to explore their personal psyche and develop a better understanding of themselves.
What are your hobbies outside the office?
Spending time outdoors! I enjoy running, hiking and bicycling. I take every opportunity I can to check out a new hike or explore a new place. In the winter you can find me skiing.
What do you value in your personal life, outside of work?
I value my many close friends and family that provide so much joy to my life. These people are my tribe. These people challenge me, love me, and provide a support system I am grateful for.
What does a typical weekend look like for you?
Oh boy… well I live in Philadelphia, so you most likely find me there! I am a huge Philly sports fan and spend a lot of my weekends with friends enjoying the games (especially football season). I also love trying new restaurants.
Is there anything “big” coming up that you’re excited about?
I am going on a trip to Arizona (see picture above)! With COVID this year, a majority of my travel plans were cancelled and I needed to get out and explore. I will be taking trips to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, and more!
