Upcoming Event – Planning for Your Child’s College

If you’re asking questions like how does my student get the most value out of college, how do I afford college for my children without affecting my own lifestyle or retirement, or how do I engage my student in the process, chances are you could benefit from an upcoming seminar with our very own Dave Emery.

The Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce is hosting Planning for Your Child’s College on Tuesday, October 22nd at 9 a.m. The event will be held at the Chamber Headquarters – Bailiwick Office Campus, Suite 23, 252 W. Swamp Rd., Doylestown.

During the discussion, multiple panel members will be present to answer your questions relating to your child’s (or grandchild’s) continuing education; including Dave Emery, Linda Hollenback, of Hollenback Consulting, and Jennifer Salisbury, Director of Foundation and Alumni Relations at Bucks County Community College.

As a Certified Financial Planner™, Dave helps families reduce the costs associated with sending kids to college. “It’s usually the largest expense families face after buying a house,” Dave notes. “Planning ahead can save families thousands of dollars.” He also reminds families that choosing a college is often an emotional buying decision, like buying a home. Relying too much on emotion can oftentimes cause families to make decisions about college without fully understanding the financial impact.

The seminar is free to attend, but registration is required. You can register online here.
