3 Things You Need to Know About the Bucks County 5k Series

Each Race Benefits a Different Charity

Blaze of Glory 5k

Where: Plumsteadville, PA

When: Saturday, March 25th, 2023 @ 9am

Charitable Organization: All proceeds from the Blaze of Glory 5k go directly to the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company. The fire company is 52% funded by Plumstead and Bedminster townships, with the remaining 48% raised by donations and fundraising events. Funds go towards fire trucks and much-needed safety equipment.

Be Kind 5k

Where: Location TBD

When: Saturday, April 15th, 2023 @ 10am

Charitable Organization: This inaugural race benefits Kin Wellness & Support Center – a new cancer center in Bucks County that provides free services to local cancer patients in treatment and recovery and their caregivers, including fitness classes, yoga, therapy, and more.

Bookin’ for Lookin’ 5k

Where: Newtown, PA

When: Saturday, April 30th,2023 @ 8:30am

Charitable Organization: The Bookin’ for Lookin’ 5k benefits the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, which helps individuals throughout our community who are blind and visually impaired receive essential services like eye exams, rehabilitation skills, and support.

YMCA Bucks County Strong 5k

Where: Doylestown, PA

Saturday, May 6th, 2023 @ 9am

Charitable Organization: Proceeds from the race benefit the Bucks County YMCA, located in Doylestown, and their program Operation Compassion, which offers increased financial assistance for membership, camps, programs, and expanded food programs to address hunger in the community.

Doylestown 5k Race

Where: Doylestown, PA

When: Saturday, May 27th, 2023 @ 9:30am

Charitable Organization: The Doylestown 5k Race benefits two local charities, Discover Doylestown and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School. Discover Doylestown is comprised of local community members and business owners who plan engaging events to help Doylestown grow and prosper. Our Lady of Mount Carmel School (OLMC) is a parochial school of 400 students from pre-k to eighth grade.

Chalfont Challenge 5k

Where: Chalfont, PA

When: Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 @8:30am

Charitable Organization: All proceeds from Chalfont Challenge 5k go directly to the Chalfont Parks and Trails Program that aims to beautify the open spaces and recreational parks in Chalfont.

Break-Fast 5k & 10k – Be sure to stay for the pancake breakfast!  

Where: Doylestown, PA

When: Sunday, June 18th, 2023 @ 8:30am

Charitable Organization: The Break-Fast 5k & 10k benefits the Peace Valley Nature Center, a unique outdoor living museum and educational facility located within Peace Valley Park in Doylestown. The preserve offers hiking trails, diverse animal habitats, engaging education programs, and an interactive nature center for the public.

New Year, New Race!

The Bucks 5k Series has added a brand new race for 2023. The Be Kind 5k benefits the new Kin Wellness & Support Center, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary. The run provides a platform for community members to show support for those who are currently undergoing cancer treatment and cancer survivors. Learn more here.
