George Evans II, MBA

Chief Investment Strategist

The greatest value I offer our clients is my perspective: They can trust that I’m always looking at things from their point of view.”

George’s Role at Marshall Financial

As our Chief Investment Strategist, George performs a role that touches every one of our clients’ financial lives, even if they don’t see it directly. “I spend much of my time reviewing and rebalancing clients’ investment portfolios,” he explains. It’s a highly personalized activity—continually fine-tuning to ensure each person’s investments always reflect their life goals.

George also monitors the stock market, interest rates, and the economy, so he can keep our clients and advisors current on this dynamic environment. And when times are volatile, he has the insight to give clients reassurance that their dreams are still within reach.

In a previous role at a mutual fund company, George became adept at analyzing funds, which is a great asset to our clients. And while he can’t predict the future, he does work to minimize surprises. “Clients want what I call ‘unsurprising behavior’ in their investments,” he says. “When I use our models to make decisions about how to adjust a portfolio, that’s my goal.”

Get to Know George

While numbers and models occupy much of his day, what George values most is having a good dialogue with clients. “It’s the smaller piece of what I do, but I really enjoy it,” he says. “I’ve developed an ability to truly listen, without adding my own filter, and to explain complex concepts in a way that’s easy to understand.”

When George isn’t busy keeping tabs on our clients’ investments, he’s busy at home—growing organic vegetables, tinkering with cars, and honing his woodworking skills on a furniture or cabinetry project. But his favorite pastime is spending time with his grandchildren. “It’s amazing to stand on the sidelines of their world and watch them develop,” he says.
